    Hi Anouska!

Thanks for the great suggestion. We’ll keep in this mind with new updates. Right now, when you click on a certain contact in your address book — it has the last update date in their individual information.

    Hope that helps!

  • Anouska

    Hi Postable!

First off, thank you for a great service!

I regularly use your service to get addresses from just a few people at a time. I send my Postable link to them in an email, and have to check back regularly to see whether or not they shared their info so I can send what I want to send them. It would be great if I could get a notification email to let me know when someone has entered their info. (Perhaps this should be a setting for how often to get notifications (or whether to get them at all) as I can see how such notifications can get overwhelming when you have a large group to get addresses from).

    Thank you!

  • Postable

    Hi Daryl,

Really sorry to hear you’re getting junk mail. We never sell anyone’s data with any outside companies. Ever.

Hope your junk mail issue gets resolved.

  • Daryl

I registered with postable because a friend used it to collect mailing addresses for his wedding invites, but ever since I did I have a lot of junk mail in my email. and spend a lot of time unsubscribing junk. Why do you sell data to other companies? Your privacy policy is a fraud, I will never use you and will tell anyone I know that you sell their data

  • Cait

Ditto! I would also love to be able to export a single group rather than the entire address book.

  • Regina Postrekhina

    Hi Emily!

We’re actually working on adding some sort of grouping system very soon. Stay tuned 🙂

  • Emily

I love this site, but I would love it even more if I could group my address book into categories (or tag my contacts), partly because my huge family is making my address book balloon. I’d like to be able to group family, for example, or friends, or “friends in Georgia,” or “friends from Japan” because I have different mailing ideas and cards that apply to those groups for different holidays, etc.

I think something like tags might be easiest because then you don’t have to force anyone in a category, but they could flexibly fit more than one (some of my cousins are also my drinking buddies).

I didn’t read all the other posts, so I might not be the first to say this. Sorry if repeat!

  • Tara

It would be sweet if you integrated an option where multiple people could sign a card. For example, say you have a family member in Hawaii, and one in Lithuania, and one in North Dakota, and you all want to sign a card for a family member in Australia, you could send out a link to each signee and they could type up their note on the card. The person making the purchase would then get a notification once all people have signed the card. Do it, guys!

  • Regina Postrekhina

    Welcome aboard!

We’re working on getting some cool organization features added to the address book in the next 2-3 months. I think it’ll have just what you’re looking for 🙂

  • Anna

Great idea for sending cards however, I think the cards should be cheaper. Especially since I (and other people) have more than 25 people on our list to send out during the holidays…

  • I love this idea – it’s exactly what I was looking for! I just found you today and sent out a few cards. I’m trying to get better at sending out cards & thank-you notes.

I would love it if I could categorize & sort the people in my address book so that I can easily find friends, family, organization members, co-workers, etc.

    Thanks so much!

  • Smita

You have a field for children birthdays but nothing for spouse’s birthday. It would be great to have that field as well, to make sure that everyone in the family is covered!

  • Regina Postrekhina

    Hey Jesse!

Once our new site is released, there will be a way to simply request a sample with a click of a button!

  • Regina Postrekhina

Ah, that’s a good point. We’ll keep that in mind and see if that’s something we can alter.

  • Amy Grizzle

Thanks Regina for your reply. I currently use the weekly alerts but would prefer to send all my bday cards out once at the beginning of the MONTH instead of having to send each week. I can’t see all the January birthdays at once, for example. I can only see this week’s. Would love to send all on the 1st (or even schedule them in advance).

  • Regina Postrekhina

Hi Amy! You can actually turn on birthday alerts under Account > Settings. This way you’ll get an e-mail once a week with birthday reminders that are coming up.

  • Regina Postrekhina

Hi Michelle! Sorry for the delayed response (if you ever need help, you can always shoot us a quick e-mail to info@postable.com and we’ll answer you right away!). You can edit all of your contacts (add new ones or edit existing ones) in the contact tab. When you click on individual names, there is an Edit Contact button that will allow you to edit their information.

  • Amy Grizzle

I love the birthday alerts! Would it be possible to add an option for filtering the address book by birthday, in order to send birthday cards out once a month?

  • Hi,
I recently utilized your bulk mail service for our company’s holiday cards and I’d like to express my gratitude for the ease of uploading company contacts and the process for reviewing and editing each individual card and envelope. No hiccups = very happy customer! Thank you.

Only a few questions/suggestions popped up during the process and here they are: 1) Can we please have more handwritten font choices?; 2) How about a more interactive formatting GUI for editing the internal message body?; 3) Are you working on an option for company’s to add their own logos to the back of cards instead of Postable.com and rockscissorpaper’s info?; and 4) Can you provide the link to leave feedback in a more convenient location… like maybe under ‘Account’ on my Postable.com home page?

I hope you all enjoyed a wonderful holiday season and thanks again for offering a simple, clean and reasonable option for mailing our company’s holiday cards this year!

    Hi all —

Love the site, love the cards. One request comes to mind immediately though: Any chance you could make it possible to upload a GIF of JPEG of my signature, and use *that* to sign my cards? My real friends know what it looks like, obviously, and it would make all the difference in the world when it comes to a truly personalized feel.

  • Michelle

Is there a way to edit a contact in the address book after it has been added? Seems like a basic feature but can’t seem to find out how to do that.

  • Rosey

Can you add a feature to the site for also selecting a gift card with the cards to be sent out? That would be awesome!

  • Melinda

I am loving Postable! Thank you for a great service.

Please consider adding date of birth to the spouse section. Also, I would love to be able to see what addresses I sent a card to. For example, I sent a Christmas card to many people but now fear I missed someone. It would be great to be able to see that info.

Keep up the great work, and I can’t wait for your app!

  • Sandra

A friend put me in to your site. I was so excited and signed up right away. However, after doing so realized there are no anniversary cards. I planned to use the site to mail 50 plus invites to a family anniversary party. Any chance of adding wedding anniversary cards ?

  • Bill

    Dear Postable,
How can I view previously sent cards? I know you probably have this in writing somewhere, but I am partly not paying attention, and need all the help I can get. Thank you,

  • Desiree

Hi – loving your site… I’ve had lots of friends moving to use it and they’ve posted to Facebook, but I can’t keep up with who is asking for my info (i.e. – I might not have time when scrolling Facebook, and then forget who has posted their link). Is there already a way to let me know when a contact of mine has joined or vice versa so they can “request” my info? And I can “request” theirs?
    Thank you!

  • My contact list has been uploading for over an hour and there’s no way to see how much time is left. I recommend a visual progress graph. Users are more patient with waiting when they have some indication of the time remaining. Does it really take hours to upload? My address book has no more than 300 contacts. Thanks!

  • Lisa

    Dear Postable Dudes & Dudettes,
I came across this site because I get newsletters from Kim Komando, computer goddess; she checks out everything before she recommends trying it.
I loved this idea because I do NOT like addressing envelopes and I find it sooo convenient shopping and writing from my desk, as I am already functioning in the ‘administrative’ mode. Thanks for the brilliant idea!
Also, thank you for gifting out postage this month – it’s the little things……

Kudos KUDOS to Rosie & Jesse on all your replies; you are gracious & diplomatic while fully addressing the issues :]

Keep up the brilliance and Happy Holidays!!

  • Tyler J. McCall

    Postable —

My partner and I just discovered y’all tonight while searching for an online address book (you show up as #3 on Google, by the way…great SEO work there).

Anyway, we’re in love! I wanted to request two things…
    1. An anniversary date option – I like to celebrate those more than birthdays…everyone has a birthday, not everyone has an anniversary.
    2. A field for spouse’s birthday (i.e. I have my partner’s parents and my parents in our address book, but I had to add them both separately to note their birthdays).

Thanks, y’all! Lots of love from North Carolina.

  • Jesse from Postable

I can add it to the list. We’re slightly afraid that there’s only so much information somebody is willing to provide before they start getting creeped out or turned off. We just added children & children’s birthdays as an option.

  • Rosie from Postable

That’s a cool idea, we’re working on adding more customization options while still making sure that the site is dead simple.

  • Abby

It would be cool if you could select little images from Artists’ collections to add to your labels so that they match the cards or just look prettier in general 🙂

  • Rosie from Postable

Good question but unfortunately no–when we were testing the handwriting fonts we realized that the blue ink looked a lot more authentic (more handwritten) than the black.

  • Lauren

Hey! I’d like to change the ink color used from blue to black for a certain font. Is there a way to do this? Thanks for the great site!

  • Rosie from Postable

Facebook integration isn’t quite possible at this stage, but you could always send out your Postable link to your closest contacts and ask them to add their birthday info. That way you’ll only get reminders for people who’d you actually want to send a card too!

  • Josh Colter

Would it be possible to integrate Postable with facebook to receive birthday reminders? I don’t store birthdays in contacts on my computer, so the birthday reminders feature, while an awesome concept, doesn’t help in my situation.

  • Rosie from Postable

Gift cards are actually in the works right now. We’re launching Birthday Alerts this week and the gift card option will be soon to follow.

  • Keziah

First of all, I just want to thank you for this amazing concept! I love it so much that I find any reason to send cards because this site is just that easy and awesome.

I think though that it would be really cool if we could purchase gift cards directly from you and you guys would send it with the cards. 🙂

  • Jesse from Postable

We’ll get there eventually. Starting with iOS b/c looking at analytics it seems like most of our users are on iPhones.

  • Natalie Roy

It would be great if the postage app could somehow merge with the contacts app and email app on iPhone and Android devices. It would also be nice to just tap the phone number and be able to call it immediately through the phone, and likewise tap to send an email.

  • taylor

I happen to have a windows phone and use your website regularly. I would love for the app to be available for a windows phone operating system. Thank you

  • Rosie from Postable

Those are great ideas and will definitely be included in the basic features of the app.

  • Rosie from Postable

Seems fine on our end, you might have to refresh your internet connection or try a different browser. Let me know if it’s still giving you problems later today.

  • I’m not sure exactly why but this web site is loading incredibly slow for
me. Is anyone else having this issue or is it a
issue on my end? I’ll check back later and see if
    the problem still exists.

  • Jesse from Postable

Great idea & yes, we’re workin’ on it. We can’t wait to be able to offer postcards for those exact reasons. Not only is the postage cheaper but there’s no stuffing, matching, etc. Hopefully we’ll have postcards in the next month or two.

  • Rosie from Postable

We’re actually planning on launching some invites this week. The little RSVP cards are a bit more complicated, so those will be coming later. As of right now there will be a spot for your wedding website so if you’re planning on doing online RSVPs these should be perfect for you!

  • Hannah

I had this same question, in fact! Do you know if the wedding invites will have options, such as including or not including little rsvp cards? We would love to do online rsvps since we live out of the country. I hope it can work out! Thank you very much!

  • Raya

Are there any plans to have Postcard options? Everyone loves getting postcards and it would cut down on postage and eliminate the need for additional paper/envelopes.
    Just a thought 🙂 thanks

  • Jesse

Oh good. I’m glad it came & you liked the quality. I understand what you’re saying about the useability. We set up Postable to be dead simple but as we add new features you have to poke a around a little sometimes to find them. We’re constantly making little tweaks so that nothing is ever difficult to find. It’s a work in progress.

  • baxter

Jesse, of course the card arrived the day after I left my comment! So thanks. I think there is a tension between a simple to use website for occasional use and a business user. I am the latter and don’t mind something that looks like an Outlook Inbox where I can find things quickly. As I use your site more I am finding what i need, but as with any app or program it takes a little time to find ones way around. Love the card by the way, esp the tree free aspect, and the feel of the paper. it is perfect for my needs.
I use a custom card but would like to put a note about the image on the back.

  • Jesse from Postable

Hi. It looks like you wrote the card on Tuesday so it would’ve gone out on Wednesday and probably won’t get there until Monday or so. That’s a really good point about a contact us page. We have our email address on the about & the FAQ but we didn’t make a contact us page. Maybe we should.

  • baxter

I sent a card over a week ago and it has not arrived. I believe your site records it as sent but the interface seems designed to hide information, and it took a while to find this method of contacting you. Where is the contact us page? As a cynical user of online services you have yet to prove to me you are providing an open and honest service.

  • Jesse from Postable

Yes! We’re about to launch Birthday Alerts and we’re really excited about it. It’ll do exactly what you just said. We’ll alert you at the right time to get the card there in time.

  • Lindsey Lee

    Hey Postable,

I love your site. I want to turn into one of those people that always remembers to send people cards for their birthdays. Could you set up a reminder for everyone in my address book so that a week or two before their birthday a reminder is sent to me so then I could send their birthday card? If I plan things out too far in advance what I write inside probably won’t be relevant. Maybe a whole calendar feature would be nice?

  • Jesse from Postable

That’s a good idea. The cards go out the next business day but maybe it would be more handy to see that info on your projects page. I’ll look into that.

  • Jesse from Postable

The save the dates are up on the site now https://www.postable.com/cards/wedding/save-the-date and the plan is to have the wedding invitations ready by the end of the summer. I hope that’s soon enough. Adding the rsvp cards & the little envelopes ended up being slightly more complex than we imagined & we want to make sure that the site still feels as simple as it does now.

  • Jesse from Postable

Hi Christina. We have to make one change to the way we create the handwriting on the inside of the cards & once that’s done we’ll be able to work with international printing partners (at the moment it’s just extremely complicated and would take too much setup with each printer). You can actually send cards now if you want but they’ll be coming from the US which might look weird. We’re hoping to be printing outside the US within the next 6 months. And I’m assuming we’ll start with Canada.

  • Raya

Hi! I am using your site to gather contacts for my upcoming wedding and love how simple it is. I’ve read that the wedding suite is coming this summer…is there an estimated date? I was hoping to hold off and use Postable for my save the dates and wedding invitations .
Thanks for being so great 🙂

  • I think your site is fantastic, and the address book is awesome,but.. is there any chance you’ll be available for those of us living in Canada soon? *please, please, please* I would love to use more than just the address book feature one day. =)

  • Hi Postable!! I really love your site and what you’re doing! This is so awesome that I’ll be telling my friends about it! I’m a designer myself and I was wondering how I could possibly design for you guys? I look forward to hearing from you soon! Thank you!!

  • Rosie from Postable

Hey Molly, a lot of people seem to want that feature, we’re just trying to figure out a way to do it while keeping the site as dead simple as it feels now. As soon as hit it, we’ll do it! Keep the faith.

  • Molly

Hi Postable! Love your site, I use it as my address book since it’s so flexible and my friends are all renters and move often 🙂 I would love if I could create groups that we could customize, like Family, Soccer Team, Coworkers, etc. so that I could export/send to just one group instead of all of my contacts. I think this would make it so much more functional. Thank you!
