25 Christmas Cards – Minted vs. Postable
Minted starts their card price at $2.92 but as you’ll soon see, that price starts going up very quickly.
Then the hidden charges start appearing
Every normal thing that you expect from a holiday card becomes an additional charge. If you want something on the back of the card it’s another $22.63. This is included with Postable.
Then it another $8 for color envelopes. Also included with Postable (and ours are 100% recycled).
The sneakiest one is that they promote “Free Recipient Addressing” but then charge you another $21 for the “Return addressing.” Both are included with Postable.
So by the time you get to the cart, the price is already almost twice what was originally advertised…
And when you checkout, the price has gone from $73 to $134
Postable $114.75 vs. Minted $134.57
So in the end, without tax, Minted comes out to $5.38 a card compared to Postable’s $4.59 a card. So there you have it. Postable is less expensive than Minted and mails the cards directly to everyone for you.
